Downtown Physical Therapy

Downtown Physical Therapy is conveniently located on the second floor of the Downtown Athletic Club adjacent to the elevators. Retaining natural lighting, treatment rooms are well-appointed and comfortable. The Downtown Athletic Club’s spacious state-of-the-art facility makes it possible for Downtown Physical Therapy to work with a wide spectrum of patients with varying ranges of rehabilitation needs. With easy access, from parking to transporting oneself around the Club, and a host of services and amenities, Downtown Physical Therapy in conjunction with the DAC provide for all your health and physical therapy needs under one roof.

Downtown Physical Therapy offers a unique rehabilitative experience predicated on outstanding service and commitment to our patients. Patients will work together with their physical therapist in a quiet and comfortable environment to develop a comprehensive treatment plan to address medical needs and establish personal goals.

Insurance

Downtown Physical Therapy accepts most major insurance plans, including Medicare, Oregon Health Plan and Worker’s Compensation.

Accessibility

Parking is free for Downtown Physical Therapy patients during physical therapy sessions. Patients need to bring their parking garage tickets to their appointment for parking validation. The Downtown Athletic Club is completely wheelchair accessible.

Membership Option

Facility & Equipment

A spacious stretching area, next to the physical therapy offices, is equipped with Plyo and Gymnastic balls and is ideal for floor level exercise, gait training, and balance & proprioception drills.The Downtown Athletic Club’s warm water fitness pool, a perfect environment for post surgical and non-weight bearing conditions, offers a calm and relaxing atmosphere for water exercise. The pool is heated to 86 degrees Fahrenheit and is fully wheelchair accessible. A variety of swimming aids, such as hydrofit equipment, aqua-joggers and noodles are available for therapy.

In addition to the fitness pool, the Downtown Athletic Club offers a lap pool, spa, fitness equipment, and indoor running track, pilates, a helpful and caring staff and many other amenities to aid in recovery.

Kevin graduated in 1985 from the University of New York, College of Health Related Professions and has 30 years of experience in a variety of settings including Senior Therapist at St. Mary’s Spine Center, San Francisco, California; Supervisor of Eugene’s Backcare Center, Co-owner of Bodywise Physical Therapy and Staff Therapist at Sacred Heart’s Orthopedic, Sports and Hand Therapy Center. Kevin’s specialties include, Musculoskeletal Disorders, Spine, Post-Surgical, Post Trauma, Sports Injury and Work-Related Injuries.

Kisten is a 1988 graduate in Physical Therapy from the University of Wisconsin. She has practiced in a variety of settings including program coordinator of Sacred Heart Hospital’s Backcare Center. Kisten has extensive experience in the evaluation and treatment of spine disorders and other musculoskeletal problems including trauma, sports injuries and post-operative care.

Paola is a 1990 graduate from the University of Maryland at Baltimore School of Medicine. Her practice has primarily focused on orthopedic/sport medicine rehabilitation. She specializes in post-operative care, musculoskeletal issues and sport injuries.
